Uganda National Football Team Manager  Sebastien Desabre, is under serious criticisms after his side lost 3 - 0 to the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in their last 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Dar es Salam on Sunday.

Though, Uganda have already secured a spot in Egypt, however, losing to their arch regional rivals, was a bitter pill to swallow for the rank and file of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

FUFA President, Eng. Moses Hassim Magogo, has queried the commitment of Desabre and his wards after the federation seemingly provided all logistics including payment of outstanding allowances to ensure that the Cranes remained unbeaten in the AFCON qualifying tournament.

“This is the worst result of the Uganda Cranes in my administration,” a visibly angry Magogo said.

“No one can feel more disappointed than me; as administration we provided everything the technical team and players wanted. All allowances and outstanding bonuses were fully paid before the match.”

“The coach asked for a camp in Egypt, we provided it,” Magogo thundered.

“Bonuses of 2500 USD per player for the win and 1500 USD for a 0-0 draw were announced before the match of Tanzania.

“I want to listen to any explanation why it is not the coach and the team responsible for this dismal performance but the FUFA President and/or the administration. We are also football fans hurt by the bad results.”

While Ugandans mulled over Cranes’ abysmal performance against Tanzania, coach Amuneke’s feat with Tanzania is being celebrated across the continent.

“I have a fond admiration for Amuneke and I think he’s doing a fantastic work with the Tanzanian team,” noted Cape Verde’s erstwhile FA President Victor Adolfo Osori.

“When you own nation’s team did not qualify, you have to support the team that win and I’m therefore wishing Amuneke and all my Tanzanian friends all the best at the AFCON in Egypt.”

Tanzania Nigerian Manager Emmanuel Amuneke led the Taifa Stars to the Africa Cup Of Nations (Egypt 2019) for the second time after their debut 39 years ago.

Amazing record for Emmanuel Amuneke!!
