Manchester United have reportedly cooled their interest in Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish following the Midlands club's Premier League survival.
Grealish was instrumental in helping Villa secure their top-flight status on the final day of the season, scoring in a 1-1 draw with West Ham United which saw them beat relegation by one point.
As a result of that, Villa are able to hold out for a higher fee for their talisman and have reportedly told Manchester United that it will take a bid of £80m to prise him away from the club.
Sky Sports News reports that United are now more reluctant to spend such a big sum on Grealish after seeing a midfield partnership between Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes flourish.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will instead now focus their full attention on signing their number one transfer target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga club are refusing to budge on their £110m asking price for the 20-year-old England international, but United are hoping to negotiate them down and have reportedly already told Dortmund that they are unable to meet that fee in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
United's successful qualification for next season's Champions League has aided their chances of landing Sancho, although the report also claims that they have identified Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman as a backup option.
