Torino have officially announced that two players have tested positive for coronavirus.

The Granata players were subjected to tests before returning to training ahead of the upcoming season and the club discovered two cases of COVID-19 in their squad.

“Torino Football Club announce that two players have tested positive for COVID-19 in the tests carried out before the resumption of the preparation,” the club wrote in a statement.

“The club immediately informed the competent authorities and the two players, currently asymptomatic, are in isolation as per the protocol.

“As a precaution, further investigations are underway for three other players of the first team who in recent days had been in close contact with the positives and who at the moment have not been part of the group.”
