"He doesn't show up to training", bringing Balotelli to Brescia "a mistake" - Cellino

Brescia patron Massimo Cellino has claimed he ‘made a mistake’ when he brought Mario Balotelli back to Italy.

With the Rondielle bottom of Serie A,
Cellino doesn’t picture a future with Balotelli in the squad and has questioned the former Italy international’s ‘commitment’ to the side.

“He doesn’t show up to training, he doesn’t look very committed let’s say, for the future of the club. That’s the problem,” Cellino told World Football Show on BBC World Service.

"Balotelli’s got a contract in Serie A, but he doesn’t have a contract in Serie B. So, if we’re relegated, Balotelli won’t have a contract anymore.”

The President has confessed that former coach Eugenio Corini’s handling of the star striker didn’t give Balotelli the best start at Brescia, but underlined that he made a bad call when he called on the Italian to return after spending four years in France.

“Balotelli apparently doesn’t like to stay in Italy anymore because he’s not acting that way.

“I think we both made a mistake. I thought that coming to Brescia, which is his town, would commit him very much.

“At the same time, I think he was handled the wrong way by my previous coach.”
