Former Nigeria international Peter Ijeh says he doesn’t see black coaches managing top teams in Europe soon, irrespective of their qualifications.
“Personally I don’t think there is anything we can do about it, because these people don’t want to have you on the round table and I think they hate to share power,” he said in an interview with next-gen coaches platform.
“When it comes to decision making, they don’t want to see you around. There’s nothing you can about that, it’s a bitter truth. We can keep our fingers crossed and hope things change, but is it going to be in our lifetime? I doubt it,” he concluded.
According to Brila.net, Ijeh who scored 38 league goals for Malmo FF in two seasons, was capped five times at the senior level by Nigeria.
