'I'm sorry for Mbappe, he is a great guy' - Atalanta Coach Gasperini

Paris Saint-Germain French striker Kylian Mbappe in pain as he falls after a rough tackle by Saint-Etienne French defender Loïc Perrin. The defender was sent off afterwards

Italian top flight outfit Atalanta Head Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has expressed how "sorry" he was when he heard about Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe's injury during their Coupe de France final against Saint-Etienne on Friday at the Stade de France in which Neymar netted the only
goal to hand PSG their 13th French Cup.

Paris Saint-Germain will lock horns with Atalanta in their Champions League quarter-final encounter and the Coach has said he hopes "it's not serious".

Gasperini told SkySports Italia: “I’m sorry, I didn’t know. Mbappe is a great guy, I hope it’s not serious.

“We don’t want to win due to the misfortunes of others.

“In fact, if you win against these types of players, your result means even more.”

There is no confirmation yet that Mbappe will not feature for  Paris Saint-Germain when they play against Atalanta in their Champions League quarter-final game, however, the French pro striker was seen on crutches after Pablo Sarabia replaced him.
