Roma striker Edin Dzeko has reportedly emerged as a serious target for Juventus this summer.

Juve boss Maurizio Sarri wants another No 9 in his squad, with Gonzalo Higuain
possibly leaving at the end of the season.

Now, Tuttosport claims Juve could fulfil Sarri’s wish of bringing in Dzeko, a player the coach has always admired.

Roma are currently enduring financial hardship, which could be eased by the sale of their talisman.

The newspaper adds the two clubs are already deep in negotiations, given the Old Lady are also interested in Primavera full-back Riccardo Calafiori.

Dzeko, who turned 34 in March, has 17 goals and nine assists in 35 games this season.

However, the Lupi are reported to be closing in on a free transfer for Edinson Cavani, who would effectively replace the Bosnian.
