Watford are said to be in negotiations for Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen, as the Giallorossi want to make sure it’s an obligation to buy.
According to Sportitalia, the scenario being discussed is a loan with option to buy, which would become an obligation if Watford are promoted to the Premier League.
It remains to be seen whether Olsen would accept a drop down to the Championship.
The Sweden international has also been linked with Spanish side Celta Vigo.
The 30-year-old was purchased from FC Copenhagen in 2018 for €9m, but a series of howlers saw him lose his place to Antonio Mirante.
Olsen was then sent out on loan to Cagliari, but could not lock down a starting place there either.
He irritated the Sardinians by refusing to stay beyond the June 30 contract when the season was extended due to the pandemic. Football-italia
