UCL: Manchester United can overcome Barcelona - David Moyes

David Moyes has said that English side Manchester United can overcome Spanish side Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League to reach the semi-finals.


Friday’s draw paired United with Barca in the quarter-finals and the Spanish champions are regarded by many as the favourites to land the trophy this season due to the form of Lionel Messi.

“It’s an incredibly tough draw but after beating Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United can take anyone on,” Moyes told Sky Sports News. “You are expecting to play one of the big boys at this stage.

“United are one of the really good teams left in the competition and they won’t fear anyone.

“It’s the sort of occasion Manchester United are used to. I think it’s a good draw for Manchester United. It’s a tough one but it’s the sort of games they are used to playing in.”

Should United overcome Barca, they would face either Liverpool or Porto in the semi-finals of the competition.
