Former English professional footballer, who played as a defender, Rio Ferdinand, has mentioned three Manchester United players who have improved since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ferdinand was Solskjaer's teammate for five years at Man U, and is heavily amazed with the job of the Norwegian manager at the club.

Solskjaer has led the Red Devils to the top four of the Premier League since taking over from Portuguese Manager Jose Mourinho in December following his sack.

Solskjaer has also led Man U to the quarter finals of the Champions League to slog it out with Spanish side Barcelona after knocking out French side Paris Saint Germain (PSG) 3 - 1 in France in the previous round of the tournament to overturn a 2 - 0 defeat suffered in the first leg at Old Trafford.

The former Man United center-back said, “Since Ole has come you would say [Marcus] Rashford, [Paul] Pogba and [Victor] Lindelof have been the most improved.”

“Those three have been standouts for me. David de Gea is the best keeper in the league by a mile.”

However, Ferdinand added that there is still one problem that faces Solskjaer at the club, namely getting the best out of the underperforming Alexis Sanchez.

He added: “He will be aiming to get the best out of Sanchez.”

"At the moment, Sanchez isn’t playing at the level that we have seen him play at Arsenal."
