Inter Milan have reportedly moved to sign Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi in a €40m (£36.37m) deal.

Hakimi has made a huge impression during
his two-year loan period at the Westfalenstadion, contributing 12 goals and 17 assists from 72 appearances in all competitions.

However, with Dortmund opting to sign Thomas Meunier on a free transfer, it left the attacking full-back facing the prospect of a return to the Bernabeu.

Needing to balance the books, The Guardian says that Los Blancos are prepared to allow the Morocco international to move to Inter Milan on a permanent basis.

The report adds that the Italian giants are prepared to hand Hakimi a five-year contract.
