Chelsea still chasing Kai Havertz, preparing £62m bid

English top flight outfit Chelsea are still interested in signing German club Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz.


The Blues are reportedly preparing a £62m bid for the playmaker.

Havertz has been predicted to exit the German club during the next transfer window and for some weeks now Chelsea have been linked with a serious interest in the German forward.

Bayer Leverkusen are not in a hurry to let Kai Havertz go and they are not ready to accept any cheap bid for the sharpshooter.

Chelsea are willing to try their luck on the 21-year old Germany international with a £62m bid, however, this is way below the playmaker's price tag which is £90m, Sports Lens says.

Both teams are expected to hold talks over the German forward's future.
