VEB Arena to host 2020 Russian Super Cup

VEB Arena AKA Arena CSKA. A multipurpose stadium in Khodynka Field, Moscow, Russia, completed in 2016. Used mostly for football matches and host the home matches of PFC CSKA Moscow

The PFC CSKA Stadium has been chosen to host the 2020 Russian Super Cup.

According to pfc-cska.com, The match is scheduled for August 7. VEB Arena was approved by Russian Football Union Executive Committee.


Reigning champions Zenit will play either Khimki (if the club from Moscow Region wins the Russian Cup Final) or runners-up Lokomotiv (if the team from St Petersburg themselves will win the Cup and make a golden double).

It will be the first Russian Super Cup to be held at the stadium. Earlier VEB Arena staged Russian national team matches and music festival Park Live. It was also used as the official training site for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and FIFA World Cup 2018.
