Covid-19: Two Roma Under-23 players test positive

Roma have officially confirmed two players from the Under-23 squad have tested positive for coronavirus.

“AS Roma announce that, in one of the regular tests provided for by the club protocol, two players from the Primavera squad tested positive in the first swab test for COVID-19,” the club wrote in a statement.


“The two boys, who are in home isolation, are currently asymptomatic and will be subjected to new checks in the next few hours.

“The club has already notified the competent health authorities, in addition to having activated the procedures provided for by the legislation, including the sanitation of the common areas and the identifications of those who came into contact with the players who tested positive.

“The team’s activities have been suspended until Monday, August 24. All team members will be tested again in the next few hours.”
