Europa League: Tottenham 3-0 LASK - Bale stars as Spurs cruise to victory, Vinicius shines on debut

Tottenham Hotspur breezed into victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against LASK in their opening match of the UEFA Europa League 2020/21 season on Thursday 22.

Spurs Manager Jose Mourinho said Brazilian debutant Carlos Vinicius can field side by side English striker Harry Kane and not just be a substitute.

The Portuguese Boss said Vinicius "played well" after the Brazilian striker displayed an amazing performance in the English side's 3-0 triumph over Austrian side LASK.

Vinicius, 25-year old Benfica loanee assisted Lucas Moura's opener in the 18th minute.

Tottenham moved two goals ahead of their visitors after LASK Panamanian midfielder Andres Andrade hit the back of his own net in the 27th minute and Vinicius recorded his second assist of the encounter after setting up for Heung-Min Son who converted to make it three for Spurs in the 84th minute.

About Carlos Vinicius, Mourinho said: "He played well but can do better. Considering the circumstances and that it was his first match, I'm really happy. The only thing that was missing was one goal, but he's much more than that.
