Europa League: Leicester City 4-0 SC Braga - Kelechi Iheanacho's brace help Foxes stay top

English side Leicester City routed Portuguese challengers 4-0 at the King Power Stadium in their Europa League clash on Thursday 5 with Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho scoring twice.

The Foxes are in control of Group G winning three out of three encounters.

Leicester City also made history in their 4-0 triumph over SC Braga - Iheanacho scoring the first two goals and Dennis Praet and James Maddison netting one each, making it the biggest margin of victory for the English side in continental tournament.

Kelechi Iheanacho opened scoring against The Archbishops in the 21st minute after a one-two with James Maddison and went further to double the lead for the Foxes in the 48th minute.

Dennis Praet and James Maddison scored the third and fourth goals for the hosts in the 67th and 78th minutes respectively earning Leicester City their widest victory margin in continental competition.

After the match, Leicester City Boss Brendan Rogers said: “[Braga] are a very good side and they gave us some problems in the first half.

“In the second half we showed our power and technique and our attacking play was very good. We scored four very good goals and maybe could have had one or two more. It was a great win.”

Leicester City are toppers of the UEFA Europa League Group G with nine points while SC Braga are second with six points.
