Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes scored twice to help the Red Devils clinch a 3-1 win over the Toffees thereby easing the pressure piled on Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer's men fell in their previous top flight encounter at the Old Trafford to Arsenal by a lone goal last sunday as well as lost their third UEFA Champions League 2020/21 encounter against rookies Istanbul Basaksehir in midweek.

The situation looked hopeless for the Red Devils when the hosts took the lead in the 19th minute through Brazilian winger Bernard.

Man United came back six minutes later through Bruno Fernandes.

The visitors went ahead through Fernandes in the 32nd minute to lead 2-1 inside the Goodison Park.

Solskjaer's side sealed the win against the Toffees when newly-added Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani found the back of the net in the fifth additional minute.

According to BBCSport, the win sees United avoid their worst start to a top-flight season after seven games since 1990-91, and gives Solskjaer breathing space as the Premier League heads into the International break.

This is Everton's third consecutive Premier League 2020/21 loss, however, they still remain in the top half of the table with thirteen points while Manchester United have amassed eleven points and stay in the bottom half of the table.
