Serie A: Spezia 1-4 Juventus - Ronaldo returns, net brace as Bianconeri cruise through Little Eagles

Spezia were 'Little' indeed against their visitors when they locked horns in a Serie A clash at the Orogel Stadium-Dino Manuzzi, falling by 1-4 on Sunday.

Assisted by American midfielder Weston McKennie, Alvaro Morata opened scoring for Juventus in the fourteenth minute but the Little Eagles performed some 'Little' tricks and levelled in the 32nd minute through Italian midfielder Tommasso Pobega.

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo returned the Bianconeri to the front in the 59th minute over their 'Little' hosts.

Ronaldo has been missing in action for two weeks for Italian Champions Juventus after testing positive for Covid-19.

After failing to produce a negative result before the UEFA Champions League encounter against Spanish giants Barcelona, the 35-year old Portugal international was left out of Juventus squad.

The Lionel Messi-led Catalans emerged victorious by two goals to nothing against the Bianconeri at the Allainz Stadium.

Andrea Pirlo's men went further ahead when Adrien Rabiot scored the third in the 67th minute and Ronaldo completed his brace to make it four for the visitors in the 76th minute from the penalty spot.

Juventus won the penalty after Federico Chiesa was fouled in the area.

The Little Eagles have clinched just one win since the start of the 2020/21 top flight season, accumulating five points after six clashes and placed two spots above the red zone while the Bianconeri are third with twelve points and have recorded no loss after six clashes.

• I'm happy Ronaldo is back in action and love this Juve Orange jersey.
