Is time running out for Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid?
The feeling was that Zinedine Zidane would bring back the good times when he made a return to reigning Spanish champions Real Madrid for the second time.
The truth is, it hasn't quite turned out that way.
The Frenchman actually clinched the Spanish La Liga title last season after returning to the club.
In his first stint at Madrid, he lifted the UEFA Champions League three times (2015/16, 2016/17 & 2017/18), however, the Los Blancos are currently facing their worst European campaign in three decades under Zidane.
Real Madrid fell to Shakhtar Donetsk by two goals to nothing in Ukraine on Tuesday in their UEFA Champions League preliminary encounter and the fall has left them in an unfavorable position where they may not scale through the Group stage of the tournament for the first time in the club's Champions League history.
In the Spanish top flight, Zidane's Madrid are placed fourth, seven points behind toppers Real Sociedad, however, with one match unplayed.
It is not going to get any easier for the French Boss as the Los Blancos get set to lock horns with Sevilla, Borussia Möenchengladbach and Atletico Madrid.
Following Madrid's 2-0 defeat to Ukrainian Champions Shakhtar Donetsk, Zidane has confidently said he 'will not resign' as head coach of the Los Blancos.
"I will not resign," he said. "We've had tricky times in the past. I have the strength to continue and I'll give my all and so will the players."
No controversy, Zidane has had some difficult situations to tackle at the club since his return.
It is obvious Real Madrid still miss Cristiano Ronaldo, experience difficulty in winning games, while handling Eden Hazard's injury problems, which hasn't been helpful to the club.
If Zidane won't resign, is there a chance he could get sacked?
