Desire Oparanozie, Super Falcons of Nigeria forward, has praised the team for their performance despite the 2 - 1 defeat to Canada in the friendly encounter in Murcia, Spain.
Oparanozie opened scoring for the African champions with a fine finish in the 27th minute after she was set up by the impressive Uchenna Kanu.
Placed fifth in the FIFA All Confederations Rankings, Canada, came back to defeat Nigeria 2 - 1 with goals from Beckie Janine and substitue Sophie Schmidt.
Oparanozie shared on Twitter: “Wasn’t the result we hoped for, but we keep working hard. Lots of positives to take away from this game. We work on 2 – 1 defeat against Canada.”

In a previous international friendly last week Friday, the Super Falcons mauled UMF Selfoss 6 - 1 with Courtney Dike netting a hat-trick and Ini Umotong scoring a brace.
