Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu has stated that the new contract given to the current Super Eagles coach will make the players in the local league raise their games.

“From Rohr’s contract, he was saddled with the responsibility to qualify for the AFCON and get to the semi Finals at the competition, which he did and got a bronze,?”

“Now, he has been given another contract that includes living in Nigeria and monitoring local league players which is so interesting in my own opinion,” Shorunmu said.

“Because of Rohr’s present, they will now raise their games up to the standard of what the German is looking for."
