President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick has given a different opinion on the issue of that of the coaching certificate of Joseph Yobo who has been appointed as one of the assistants of coach of the senior National Team of
Nigeria Gernot Rohr.

Rohr has made it known that it will be nice for Yobo to have a coaching certificate to aid his coaching career in the future but Pinnick in an interview said Yobo doesn't need a certificate based on the career he has had as a player.

Pinnick said the appointment of Yobo is viewed by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) as a way of breaking the norm of recycling coaches for the National Teams and encourage players who can be head coaches of the team in the future.

"What more do you need? He was a captian of the Super Eagles, he was captain of Everton, he played football at the highest level and went to two or three world cups, went to Nations Cup and won the Nations Cup," Pinnick said.

"Yobo is super qualified, we don't have any regret about it and the future will tell because I know exactly what am saying," he said while defending the choice of yobo as a senior National Team coach despite his lack of coaching certificate.

My Opinion: To become a Pro Football Manager or Coach, certificates are needed...I mean lots of certificates from one coaching level to the other...to the top!😊😊😊
