Bologna FC get funding for Stadium project
Bologna announced they have agreed a financial deal with local banks to begin the redevelopment and modernisation of the Stadio Dall’Ara.
The project has been in the pipeline for several years, but took a big step towards its realisation today after securing the financing.
“Bologna Stadio and Istituto per il Credito Sportivo have signed a collaborative agreement for the redevelopment and modernisation of the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, as the sports bank has been entrusted with the coordination of the project’s finances,” read a statement.
“The collaboration between Bologna Stadio and Istituto per il Credito Sportivo represents a fundamental step towards the completion of this ambitious and exciting project, which will result in a complete new look to the stadium, merging the architectural value of the historic facility and innovative new ideas, all while maximising the stadium’s functionality for fans and members of the local community.”

Bologna were allowed a 99-year lease from the local council in 2016, so some changes have already been made, largely to the seating.
