The management of Italian Serie A outfit Napoli has reacted to multiple reports linking Lille’s Nigerian international forward Victor Osimhen to the club.
Reports have suggested that Napoli and the Nigerian have an agreement which will see him join the Serie A side in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old former Wolfsburg forward’s agent Ariyo Igbayilola had confirmed that Napoli are interested in the Nigerian international’s services.
In an interview granted to Sky Italia, Napoli’s Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli did not confirm there is any agreement between the player and the club.
“If Milik leaves, we’ll go into the market in search of another good forward. At this moment we are making contacts to gather information,” Giuntoli said.
“When it’s time to get a forward we’ll be ready for it. It could be Azmoum or Osimhen, we don’t know for now.
“They are all very good, it will be difficult to get them to Napoli because they are highly desired.”
