Weston McKennie to complete permanent transfer to Juventus

American pro midfielder Weston McKennie is expected to complete a permanent €18.5m move to Italian football outfit Juventus FC in the summer with the Bianconeri who have the option to buy the player if they qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

McKennie, 22, transferred to Juventus from German club Schalke 04 last summer in a €4.5m loan deal.

The agreement came with an option to make the player's move permanent for €18.5m.

Juventus will have an obligation to buy the player permanently if they finish top four this season, SkySports says.

However, the Old Lady are open to signing McKennie regardless from the possible obligation to buy.

So far, the American has netted four times in 21 appearances in all competitions this season.

The final fee for McKennie's Juventus transfer could reach €30m plus add-ons.
