Chelsea's hope of making top four of the Premier League suffered a heavy blow after Everton displayed a brilliant performance to earn a 2 - 0 victory at Goodison Park.
Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City were all out of action in the Premier League this weekend, this was Chelsea’s crucial game in hand, and they dominated the first half against a tepid home side.
However, goals from Richarlison and
Gylfi Sigurdsson after the break secured victory for Marco Silva’s men, leaving Chelsea in sixth, three points adrift of the final Champions League spot, with trips to Old Trafford and Anfield still to come.
Richardson voted Man Of The Match: As posted on Everton official Twitter account:

Even with his hat-trick at the Europa League, striker Olivier Giroud was dropped by Blues Manager Maurizio Sarri as Gonzalo Higuain was fielded to lead Chelsea's attack.
Chelsea hold the 6th spot with 57 points while Everton are 11th with 40 points.
