Brescia President Massimo Cellino fought off two thieves who tried to steal his watch but suffered a blow to the nose.
Cellino was attacked outside a supermarket yesterday in the Brescian town of Padenghe, where he recently bought a house.
One of the criminals tried to steal the watch he was wearing, while the other was behind them with a helmet in his hand.
The 63-year-old managed to get away from the pair but, in doing so, slammed his face on the open door of his car, suffering a nasty knock to the nose.
It capped off a miserable weekend for the former Leeds United owner as he saw Brescia go down 3-0 at home to Roma, moving them closer to relegation.
He becomes the third Serie A figure to have been the victim of attempted robbery since coronavirus measures were brought in after Samu Castillejo and Bryan Cristante.
