Chelsea close to sealing deal for Bayer Leverkusen striker Kai Havertz

Chelsea are edging closer to securing the signing of in-demand Bayer Leverkusen  attacker Kai Havertz, according to a report.

The Blues are looking to add the Germany
international to their squad as soon as possible, having already brought in Hakim Ziyech and compatriot Timo Werner  ahead of next season.

An agreement is believed to be in place between Havertz and Chelsea, but the Premier League side still have to finalise terms with Leverkusen.

Football.London claims that talks are progressing well and the 21-year-old, who is valued at £81.5m, is close to becoming Chelsea's latest high-profile signing.

Frank Lampard's side have been warned that they may have to wait another month  before Havertz links up with them, however, as Leverkusen are still competing in the Europa League.SportsMole
