Victor Osimhen close to joining Napoli as he tells Lille to stop welcoming any more offers

Italian Serie A club SSC Napoli are reportedly close to signing Nigerian pro striker Victor Osimhen from French Ligue 1 club LOSC Lille.


Osimhen, 21, helped Lille earn a spot in next season's Champions League and according to suggestions the striker would be sold during the next transfer window.

The Nigeria international is close to agreeing a deal with the Italian outfit as negotiations continue, according to L'Equipe.

The report also claims that Osimhen has requested that Lille stop welcoming any more offers from other clubs, this possibly means he might make the decision to join Napoli eventually.

During his debut campaign at Lille, Osimhen netted 18 times and clinched the Marc Vivien For Award at the club for his stellar performances.

A fee has not been disclosed, however, Napoli have the intention to sign the Nigerian on a five-year deal.
