Report: Barcelona agree £28m deal for Lyon forward Memphis Depay

Barcelona are reportedly close to bringing in forward Memphis Depay after agreeing a £28m fee with Lyon.

La Liga giants Barca have showed an interest in the Dutchman since ex-Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman took over at Camp Nou last month.


After a couple of weeks of negotiations, the Daily Mail claims that Depay is now just one step away from becoming a Barcelona player.

The 26-year-old is set to undergo a medical this week, it is claimed, and it is hoped that he will be part of Koeman's squad for the league opener with Villarreal on September 27.

Depay has revived his career at Lyon after arriving from Manchester United in 2015, scoring 57 goals in 140 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit. SportsMole
