Friendly: Nigeria 0-1 Algeria - Super Eagles fall to African Champions in Austria

An early strike was enough for the African Champions to prevail against the Super Eagles inside the Jacques Lemans Arena, Austria.

Thanks to defender Ramy Bensebaini's lone strike in the opening ten minutes, Algeria scaled through Nigeria 1-0 in an international friendly in Austria on Friday 9.


Bensebaini who plays for German top flight outfit Borussia Mochengladbach shot the current African Champions to their triumph following a loose ball in the sixth minute from a corner kick.

Debutants midfielder Frank Onyeka of Danish side FC Midtjylland and left back Zaidu Sanusi of Portuguese club FC Porto featured for the Super Eagles.


English club Manchester City playmaker Riyad Mahrez led the Algerians against Nigeria.
