He 'didn't trust' his Juventus players - 'disturbed' Pjanic talks about Sarri

Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic has made a shocking revelation about former Juventus Head Coach Maurizio Sarri and the lack of oneness that reigned in Juventus last season.

Pjanic said he is still disappointed that "Sarri didn't trust his men" and "put into doubt" their professionalism while he was the Head Coach of the Italian club.

Juventus are the current holders of the Scudetto, thanks to Maurizio Sarri, however, they lost the Coppa Italia 2019/20 to SSC Napoli as well as the Italian Super Cup.

The Bianconeri also fell out of the UEFA Champions League after losing to Olympique Lyonnais in the round of 16.

Sarri parted ways with Juventus at the end of the season and Pjanic has come out to reveal how bad the situation was between the Italian Manager and his players.

Miralem Pjanic who currently fields for Spanish giants Barcelona revealed to Tuttosport: “What still disappoints me to this day is that Sarri didn’t trust his men and that disturbed me.

“The way he misjudged people remains the worst aspect, because every player in that locker room has always and will always give their all for the club and team.

“You might not get along with one or two, but that has never affected our efforts, because every player wants to win, because they are incredible professionals who want to pursue their objective.

“So, if a coach puts that into doubt, it means you don’t have that alchemy that the President talked about.”

This means that Sarri had the belief that some his Bianconeri players were not cooperating with him and not giving their all to the club.

“Nobody is doubting Sarri’s qualities as a coach, but there was this problem,” the Bosnia and Herzegovina international further said.

“At the end of the day, we still brought home another Scudetto, which must never be taken for granted.”
