Catalans Manager Ronald Koeman vented after the game that VAR is to blame for the home loss to Madrid saying "I don't understand VAR".
Koeman is of the belief that VAR doesn't favour Barca most of the time, he said: "I think it is only used to make decisions against Barca."
The Dutch Manager made these post-match words following Sergio Ramos' goal which was Real Madrid's second goal he scored from the penalty spot which gave the Los Blancos their second lead against their hosts.
Federico Valverde opened scoring for Zinedine Zidane's side early in the 5th minute after converting Karim Benzema's pass but the Catalans fought back and levelled through 17-year old Ansu Fati just three minutes after the Los Blancos took the lead.©️👏 Captain @SergioRamos becomes one of three players to have been involved in the most #ElClásico matches in @LaLiga!

VAR made a decision in favour of Madrid and awarded a penalty which Captain Sergio Ramos fired form the spot to give the visitors their second lead.
Barcelona made two penalty appeals but were turned down - first was Raphael Varane's challenge on Lionel Messi and a possible Varane handball.
Ronald Koeman said: "I don't understand VAR, I think it is only used to make decisions against Barca.

"You always get shirt tugs like that in the area and I think Ramos makes a foul on Lenglet first. There's a tug of the shirt, but not enough to make him fall behind as he did. For me it's not a penalty.
"We have had five matches and [VAR] has only been used to go against Barca. It's never gone our way.
"The decision had a big influence on the final result, because we were playing well up to the penalty."
About Real Madrid's penalty, Ramos thinks differently from Koeman, the Spanish defender said: "I think it was a very clear penalty. He tugged my shirt when I was jumping for the ball and it's as clear as daylight. It's unfair to criticise a referee for a decision as clear as that."
Real Madrid are La Liga toppers with 13 points from six games, winning four and recording one draw and one loss while Barcelona are currently below the first half of the table (12th) with seven points from six games, recording two wins, one draw and two losses.
Croatian midfielder sealed the win late for Real Madrid with the third goal, and Barca youngster Ansu Fati has successfully written his name in the records as the youngest scorer in the history of El Clasico at the age of 17.
