English side Liverpool fell right inside Anfield to Italian side Atalanta by two goals to nil on Wednesday night in their UEFA Champions League game.

The Reds now require one more win to secure a spot in the round of 16 of the Champions League 2020/21.
The Serie A outfit were methodical and mature as they avenged the 5-0 loss in the reverse fixture earlier this month.

The La Dea were good value for their triumph as hosts Liverpool recorded no shots on target all through the encounter.
On the hour-mark, Slovenian forward Josip Ilicic opened scoring for Atalanta after converting Papu Gomez' cross.

Robin Gosens netted the second goal for the visitors just four minutes after Ilicic celebrated his opener to ensure Atalanta left Anfield with a clean sheet.
Despite this loss, Liverpool remain toppers of Group D with nine points, clinching three victories out of four while Atalanta are third with seven points after two wins, one draw and one loss.
