Al Ahly defeated Zamalek 2-1 in the CAF Champions League final inside the Cairo International Stadium in Egypt to clinch the title.
According to brila.net
The Nigerian international started the game but was substituted in the 65th minute for Da Costa.
The CAF CL final game was played with some fine spirit with limited controversial decisions that blighted last season’s final between Esperance and Wydad Casablanca.
Meanwhile, Ajayi’s South African manager Pitso Mosimane bags his second CAF CL win after his 2016 success with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Al Ahly will now progress to the delayed FIFA Club World Cup which is now set to be staged in Qatar next February.
