Champions League: Bayern 2-0 Locomotiv Moscow - Bavarians extend unbeaten run to 17

Reigning champions Bayern Munich eased past Locomotiv Moscow in their Uefa Champions League clash at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday 9.

The German side defeated their Russian opponents 2-0 to extend their unbeaten record to 17 games in the competition.


Last season (2019/20), Bayern Munich won all their eleven games on the way to clinching the trophy and have drawn once this season.

German defender Niklas Sule's strong header opened scoring for Hansi Flick's side and Cameroonian striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting sealed the win for the hosts.


The Bavarians finished Group A winners, accumulating 16 points after six games, winning five with one draw while the Steam Locomotives finished at the bottom with 3 points recording no win.
