Gavin Jeanne, Head Coach of Seychelles National Football Team has confessed that their 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, will be tough.
The Seychelles Pirates have already fallen out of contention for a spot in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, however, they will do battle with the Super Eagles hoping to pull some point to add to the one point they have after five encounters.
The Pirates have played five games, losing four and clinching one draw.
In his Pre-Match conference, Jeanne said: “Playing the Super Eagles will be tough because they are the Big boys and we are the small boys but even small birds can fly.”
The reverse fixture of this tie ended 3-0 in favour of the Super Eagles at the Linite stadium.
Jeanne said, about the development of football in Seychelles: “We are starting over now. We know football in Seychelles is not at a good point at the moment We are starting over again and maybe in the next 15 years to 20 years we will see the difference.”
