International Friendly: Morocco to play Nigeria in prep for 2019 AFCON

Morocco will lock horns with Nigeria in an international friendly in preparation for the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.


According a report in Le 360.ma, the friendly will happen in France next month.

The Atlas Lions are also expected to take on the Chipolopolo of Zambia in another buildup game before the start of Africa’s football showpiece event.

Morocco will face Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa and Namibia in Group D at AFCON 2019.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play against the Warriors of Zimbabwe in their first friendly in prep for the continental football tournament on June 8 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

Another friendly encounter against the Terangha Lions of Senegal will take place on June 16.

Nigeria are drawn alongside first-timers Burundi, Madagascar and Guinea in Group B of the tournament.
