CAF Champions League: Lobi Stars jet off to SA for crucial Sundowns FC clash

Mamelodi Sundowns will play host to Lobi Stars on Saturday

Nigerian side Lobi Stars FC flew out from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Wednesday for Saturday's crucial CAF Champions League Group B match against South African side Mamelodi
Sundowns FC.

The match will take place at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium, Pretoria, South Africa.

The Lobi Stars FC trip to SA consists of 18 players and other officials.

The Makurdi-based club's last encounter was against Wydad Casablanca FC in Morocco which ended in a goalless draw.

Solomon Ogbeide’s men have won just one game in the group, a 1-0 victory against Mamelodi Sundowns on match day one.

Lobi Stars are in the fourth position in the Group B table with four points from four games.

“It is going to be a difficult game but we are ready for the task ahead,” Lobi Stars’ team’s dependable midfielder Dare Ojo told Completesports

“The most important thing is for us to believe in ourselves and give our best on the pitch. Hopefully, we will come out victorious.”
