Juventus begin talks for Pogba

Paul Labile Pogba. A French professional footballer, plays for English Premier League club Manchester United and the France National Team. He plays as a midfielder (central, attacking, defensive). He moved to Juventus from Manchester United on a free transfer in 2012. Pogba helped Juventus win four Serie A titles consecutively, two Coppa Italia and two SuperCoppa Italiana titles. In 2016, he returned to Old Trafford for a then world record transfer fee of €105million. The fee paid for him remains the highest paid by an English club. Photo: Getty

Reports in France claim Juventus have started negotiations with Mino Raiola to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin from Manchester United.

According to le10sport.com, the talks are beginning in earnest after months of flirtation with the idea of a comeback.

Pogba has never disguised his love for Juve and there has recently been an air of regret around his €105m transfer to Manchester United in the summer of 2016.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain do not seem willing to pay up for the midfielder, which puts the Bianconeri in a stronger bargaining position.

With Miralem Pjanic on the way out and Adrien Rabiot likely to follow, Pogba would be a fascinating addition to Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

The World Cup winner recently turned 27 and has also been linked with a Serie A return for Inter, where he’d reunite with Antonio Conte.

Pogba made 178 competitive appearances for Juventus, contributing 34 goals and 40 assists.
