Spanish retired professional footballer Carles Puyol, who featured for FC Barcelona in his entire career, has been named as part of dignitaries that will accompany the UEFA Champions League
trophy to Nigeria.
Heineken® confirmed this in a media statement obtained on Thursday.
For three days starting from April 16 to 18 Nigerian football enthusiasts and the lovers of the Heineken brand will experience the UEFA Champions League trophy, the Brand disclosed.
The three-day tour will feature exclusive encounters in Lagos and Uyo and an unmissable match to be played by select consumers and the Spanish superstar, Puyol.
Without any doubt, Puyol is one of the most loved football superstars to have ever graced the beautiful game.
The former Spain international has clinched the UEFA Champions League Trophy three times.
