In 22 Bundesliga appearances this season, Philippe Coutinho has scored 8 goals and has returned to full training after undergoing a minor ankle surgery.

Coutinho is on loan at German Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich from Spanish La Liga toppers Barcelona.

The German club are extending the Brazil international's loan deal until the end of the season.

After negotiations on Wednesday, the deal to extend the loan beyond June 30 was finalised, and the option to keep the Brazilian at the Allianz Arena permanently has not been accepted by Bayern Munich.

With this agreement, Coutinho is now qualified to feature for the Bavarians when the UEFA Champions League resumes in August.

Three years ago, Barcelona signed Coutinho from Liverpool for £153million and are currently looking to let the player go.
