According to Ronald de Boer, a former Netherlands forward, Ajax FC midfielder Donny Van de Beek is interested in a move to Spanish top flight giants Real Madrid despite reported interest from English
Premier League club Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been targeting the Dutch midfielder ahead of next season.

Recently, a report suggested that Manchester United are focusing on a deal for Donny Van de Beek, 23, this summer.

But De Boer suggests contrarily that Van de Beek is more interested in moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Due to the adverse impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the Los Blancos are having to reevaluate their transfer plan.

De Boer revealed to FoxSports: "When you hear these clubs pass by, I know your heart will beat faster. On the one hand, I understand that Real Madrid are hesitating a bit.

"Another club could think 'hey, an interesting player, maybe we can get him for a little less'. For example Manchester United."

In the 2019-20 Eredivisie season, Donny Van de Beek recorded eight goals and six assists for the League giants Ajax Amsterdam.
