Wales Captain Gareth Bale dreams of last chance to play at World Cup

Gareth Bale is hoping to clinch what he believes might be his final opportunity to qualify for a World Cup - and realise his one intense ambition remaining.

Wales will kick off their 2022 World Cup Qualifying campaign against Belgium who are ranked number one in the world.

The match between Belgium and Wales will kick off at 20:45 on Wednesday 24.

Bales's home country Wales have not featured in the World Cup since 1958, and the pro winger who is 31 years old is of the belief that times is running out for him to end the wait.

The Wales Captain said: "It would be amazing to play for Wales in a World Cup - that is the dream for me.

"We need to give it a really good go and give everything for the country.

"It might be the last time our generation has the chance to qualify for a World Cup.

"It is massive for us and we want to try and take this opportunity to qualify. We haven't done that for a long time."
