Juventus have allegedly had their first attempt to sign Nicolò Zaniolo rebuffed by Roma, who will only accept around €60m in cash.

Tuttosport claims the Bianconeri sporting director Fabio Paratici attempted to offer Giallorossi CEO Guido Fienga an exchange deal to bring Zaniolo to the Allianz Stadium last Friday.

But the newspaper writes that Roma held their own despite struggling economically and might have to sell players to keep hold of their stars.

The Giallorossi have rejected the first attempt from and will look for possibilities to keep the Italy international at the Olimpico.

The budget difficulties in Rome might force them to eventually budge but the report claims they will only evaluate an outright cash deal with any suitors, and the reported amount requested is of around €60m.
