Andrea Pirlo will return to Juventus as the coach of their Under-23 team in Serie C, according to Sky Sport Italia, replacing Fabio Pecchia.

The offer had been in the air for several months and Pirlo wanted some time to think about it.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening that the former midfielder has now accepted and will be accompanied by former teammate Roberto Baronio as his assistant manager.

The Juventus U23 team play in Serie C and last week won their first piece of silverware, the Coppa Italia Serie C.

Despite that victory, coach Pecchia will not be on the bench next term, replaced by Pirlo in his first management role.
