Barcelona extended their lead at the top of the table with a 2 - 0 victory over Leganes.
Guinea-Bissau forward Ansu Fati opened scoring for Barcelona in the 42nd minute, making it his fifth goal of the Spanish La
Liga 2019-20 season.
Argentine pro forward Lionel Messi sealed the win with the second goal from the penalty spot inside the Camp Nou.

With this win, Barcelona have succeeded in putting the pressure back on rivals Real Madrid as they extend their lead at the top of the table to five points.

Messi netted his 699th goal for both his club and country after he was fouled by Ruben Perez. He remains the top goalscorer of the Spanish La Liga 2019-20 season with 21 goals, next is Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema who has 14 goals.
Real Madrid will be looking to reduce the point gap on Thursday to two when they host Valencia at home.
Barcelona are atop the League table while Leganes are currently sitting at the bottom.
