Liverpool to lift Premier League trophy on the Kop after visiting Chelsea

Liverpool lost 1 - 2 to Arsenal on Wednesday inside the Emirates Stadium after taking the lead in the 6th minute through Senegalese forward Sadio Mane

After next Wednesday's encounter with Chelsea, Liverpool will lift the English Premier League trophy on the Kop.


Due to the coronavirus pandemic, fans will not be able to watch the ceremony live at Anfield.

The Reds clinched their first Premier League title after waiting for three decades.

Sir Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool Legend, will hand out medals followed by Jordan Henderson who is club Captain, will lift the trophy.

English midfielder Henderson will be the first Liverpool captain to lift the English Premier League trophy awarded to the Club since Alan Hansen in 1990.

The Englishman also lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy last season with Champions Liverpool.

"Stay at home to enjoy the ceremony" in light of the ongoing measures in place to safeguard against the spread of coronavirus," Liverpool urged fans.

On a podium created by fans and surrounded by flags and built in the center of the famous Kop Stand, Henderson and his co-players will receive the trophy.

The Club said: "With supporters unable to attend the behind-closed-doors fixture, the historic occasion will involve a unique presentation designed to acknowledge and celebrate Liverpool fans."
