As a result of the chaotic nature of Spanish top flight giants Barcelona, Argentine pro forward Lionel Messi is reluctant to sign a new deal at the club.

Messi is rumored to have made it clear to Barcelona that his intension is to part ways with the club when his current contract expires next season.

According to DailyMail, Messi remains unconvinced about extending his stay in Catalonia despite assurances given by Barca.

The report says that the Argentina international is still unhappy with some controversies this season.

It further claims that Barca's failure to bring Brazil intentional Neymar back to the club last summer and Sporting Director Eric Abidal's move to blame Messi for the sacking of former Coach Ernesto Valverde in January angered the Argentine.

Rumour has it that Messi is also angry at Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu after he employed an outfit to run false stories about him.

Barcelona are placed second on the top flight table while Real Madrid hold the number one spot, leading by four points.
