Europa League: AC Milan to feature without Rebic in three matches

Milan coach Stefano Pioli must cope without Ante Rebic in the first three Europa League matches next season, as the Croatian carries with him a suspension from his last game with Eintracht Frankfurt.


La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights that Rebic must sit out three European games, meaning he will be out of the preliminary rounds that the Rossoneri most likely must go through to reach the group stage.

He was sent off in the 44th minute of Frankfurt’s 3-0 win over Strasbourg on August 29, 2019 and his protests led to a suspension of five games, which UEFA later reduced to three.
